It’s A Carefree Day With Kite Delight & Basic Border Dies

Warm weather, carefree laid back days are all part of summer. Flying kites at a beach or an open field is a fun activity to do. The Kite Delight stamp is a cute set which gives you that carefree feeling. Everything you need to create a kite card is in this set. It has 8 images – 4 different types of kites, 2 tails, sun, cloud and 3 nice sentiments.

Although the stamp comes with a cloud image, I created my own using the Basic Border dies for a softer look.

Card Details

  1. Card base 5-1/2” x 8” thick white cardstock scored at 1″, 2″, 5″
  2. Thick White cardstock 3″ x 6″ scored at 4-1/4″ – tear & tape used at 3″ sides of cardstock
  3. Clouds were sponged with a cloud stencil created from the Basic Border dies on both cardstocks. Balmy Blue ink with blending brush was used for the clouds. The stencil position was alternated to keep the clouds random.
  4. Kites were stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with Granny Apple Green, Magenta Madness, Fresh Freesia, Daffodil Delight Refills and blender pens
  5. Two dimensionals were used to adhere kites.
  • To adhere 3” x 6” line up the short edge at bottom right of card base and adhere to bottom edge. Close card and adhere other end to back of card base.
  • For a clean finish, a 5-1/2” x 3″ white cardstock was adhered to the back of card base.
  • On a 2-1/2″ x 3/4″ white cardstock, sentiment was stamped with Magenta Madness. Cardstock was adhered to 2-1/2″ x 7/8″ Granny Apple Green cardstock and adhered to bottom strip with dimensionals.
  • 2021-2023 In Color jewels were used on kite and a basic rhinestone next to sentiment
