Last Day of Sale-A-Bration With Daffodil Afternoon

The 12″ x 12″ double sided Daffodil Afternoon DSP is the last patterned paper left to show you from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.

For today’s card, I made the patterned paper the focal point.

Card Details

  • The card base is Pale Papaya cardstock cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
  • A piece of Very Vanilla and the DSP in the front was cut at 4″ x 5-1/4″.
  • Layering Circle dies were used for the front opening.
  • Front DSP was run through the embossing machine and embossed three quarters of the way with the Tasteful Textile Embossing Folder for some texture
  • Very Vanilla cardstock and front DSP were glued together for a stronger front panel
  • The DSP in the opening was cut at 3-1/2″ x 5″ and adhered to card base
  • Sentiment from the Celebrate Sunflowers was stamped with Mossy Meadow ink
  • Front panel was mounted to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals
  • Linen thread tied twice around front panel
  • Added a couple of sequins from Sequins for Everything
  • Wink of Stella was added to the center of the daffodils and small blooms – not sure if you’ll able to see it in the picture but it’s there and gives it a nice glittery shine

What do you think of the different ways of using Designer Series Paper? Are you ready to start using all the paper you’ve been holding on to?

This is a beautiful card. I want to get better using the papers, dies and cardstock together. My attempts have not been as neat.
