A Sympathy Card With Retiring Prized Peony & Peony Dies

In today’s post, the focus is on the Prized Peony stamp and Peony dies that are retiring. This is a nice set with various sentiments that can be used throughout the year. I’ve used this set quite a bit and one of my favorite items from the dies is the scallop border.

Card Supplies

Let’s take a look at how I made this card which came together quickly.

  • Card base is Thick Basic White 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″.
  • For the background I stamped the flower with Gray Granite ink onto a 5-1/4″ x 4″ Gray Granite cardstock.
  • The sentiment from the Peaceful Moments was stamped with Memento Black ink.
  • The peony was stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with Light & Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends and the leaves with Mossy Meadow blends.
  • A second flower was stamped and die cut. Both flower die cuts were adhered together with Stampin’ Dimensionals. It gave the card a small shadow and extra dimension.

Here’s another card using this set and another one here using the Peony dies.

Both the stamp and dies are still available and on sale right now – the peony dies are 50% off!

Thanks for stopping by . . . till next time . . .
