I haven’t attended too many weddings lately so I haven’t had to make any, but I made this card for someone who needed a wedding card.
Today’s card features the Ornate Layers Dies and Ornate Floral embossing folder which are both retiring. The leaves were stamped with the Forever Fern stamp and die cut from the Forever Flourishing dies.
Card Details
This card is pretty simple to make. Just a small amount of stamping and the rest is die cut.
- Card base was created with Soft Sea Foam cardstock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″.
- Basic White cardstock 4″ x 5-1/4″ was embossed with Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.
- The label for the sentiment was die cut with the Ornate Layers dies.
- The sentiment is from an old retired stamp set, Occasional Quotes. Sentiment was embossed with gold embossing powder then adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Some of the leaves were stamped with Old Olive ink and some were simply cut with the Forever Flourishing dies.
- A few leaves were die cut from gold foil paper and vellum cardstock.
- To finish the card I added a few basic pearls.
- The leaves on the envelope were stamped with the Forever Fern stamp. You can’t have a naked envelope for a wedding, right?
What type of wedding cards do you like to make? Do you like to keep it simple or do you like to make ornate cards? Do you like white or color?
Both the Ornate Layers and Ornate Floral embossing folder are still available and are on sale!
Check out another card here using the Ornate Layers where I used one of the dies as a stencil and here for the Ornate Floral folder which I die cut a circle and sponged it.
Thanks for stopping by . . . till next time . . .
