Happy New Year! Hope you had a wonderful time celebrating the holidays with those you love.
Today’s card combines the old with the new. Stampin’ Up’s July – December Catalog ends today (January 3) and the January – June 2022 Catalog begins tomorrow. For the background on this card, I used the Welcoming Woods stamp which is in the outgoing catalog. What’s new? The image and sentiment on the front of the card. You will find the In the Moment stamp in the new catalog. I liked this stamp set from the first time I saw it. Once in a while, you want people images in your cards instead of flowers, critters, etc. I love the calming effect this image brings.
The In The Moment stamp comes with 3 images and 3 sentiments. If you like to color, you’ll love this set. Let’s look at the details.
Card Details
- The cardstock I used for the card base and mat layer is Merry Merlot – a color I don’t normally use but I love how it goes so well with the other colors I used.
- The tree trunks were stamped with Crumb Cake and leaves with Merry Merlot, Mossy Meadow & Bumblebee.
- Sponge daubers were used to sponge window area with Balmy Blue ink.
- Using a blender pen, pillows were colored with Merry Merlot and Blackberry Bliss inks and the seat cushion with Soft Sea Foam ink.
- The woman’s clothes, hair, hair clip and cup were colored with Misty Moonlight, Soft Succulent, Cinnamon Cider and Balmy Blue.
- Cardstock with stamped image was layered onto Merry Merlot cardstock and mounted onto card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Glue dots were used to adhere the Bumblebee gingham ribbon and linen thread.
