This card came together very quickly with using just two dies and patterned paper. I thought of this card last night as I was going to bed and knew exactly how I wanted to create it. Does that happen to you? I always keep pen and paper on my night table for when ideas come to my mind because you know what happens if you don’t write it down – it’s gone the next morning. With it being St. Patrick’s Day today, I wanted a green card so I looked into my paper stash and found a nice ombre look in the Artistry Blooms DSP. I love this paper because the paper pack is filled with lots of color.
Card Details
- My card base is Garden Green cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″
- The Artistry Blooms DSP was cut at 2-3/4″ x 5-1/4″
- White cardstock cut at 5-1/4″ x 4″
- Lucky Me greeting from Game On stamp inked with Garden Green
- Leaf border was stamped with Memento Black and colored with Garden Green & Early Espresso Stampin’ Markers
The leaf border is an image from the Quite Curvy stamp and was die cut with the Curvy Dies and adhered to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I used the Forever Flourishing Dies to die cut the leaves above the border. Because I used watercolor paper, I was able to watercolor my leaves using the Garden Green & Granny Apple Green inks using my aqua painter (now water painters) for a soft look. I adhered it with a glue dot.
This card is simple and was quick to make but in my opinion, it’s so pretty.
