Another Valentine’s Day Card: I’m Nuts & Bolts About You

In yesterday’s post, I used another image from the Nuts & Bolts set to make a quick card. Today’s card required a little bit more time to create and I used non Valentine’s Day colors. Let’s explore how this card was created.

Card Details

The first thing I did on this card is create the flower border. I used the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Mask and inked it with Polished Pink and Pale Papaya using a blending brush.

When I saw the flower the robot was holding, I thought the flowers from the Dandy Wishes dies matched perfectly so two flowers were cut and sponged in the center with the same color inks as the masked flowers. I die cut a flower stem from white cardstock and sponged it with Soft Succulent ink.

The robot’s flower was colored with light Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends and light Daffodil Delight blends. The robot was colored with light & dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. Once again, I cut the robot and popped it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped on a label from the Pierced Blooms dies with Memento Black ink.

The card base is Polished Pink cut at 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ and scored at 4-1/4″.

I can’t seem to stop playing with this set. The best thing about it is that it’s not just for Valentine’s Day. You can use it for any occasion and I will.

Thanks for stopping by . . . till next time . . .
