Inspiring Iris

Happy Monday!

Do you like subtle, brights, regals or neutral colors? Which would you say is your favorite? I would say I tend to lean towards subtles and bright colors – they make me happy. Today’s card is using subtle colors using the Inspiring Iris stamp. It’s a simple sweet card.

Here are the details: The background was done with Stampin’ Blends (my favorite coloring medium). Using Dark Soft Sea Foam, Dark Petal Pink, and Light So Saffron Stampin’ Blends, I scribbled from one end of the cardstock to the other creating blocks of color. The flower was stamped with Memento Black and colored with Stampin’ Blends using the same colors as my background. The sentiment was from the April Paper Pumpkin kit – My Wonderful Family. The stitched scalloped cardstock is from Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

So now that you’ve seen my subtle color card, which group of colors is YOUR favorite? What color would you have colored this iris? Let me know by leaving me a comment below.

Don’t forget to come back tomorrow for Part 4 in my Card Making For Beginners series.

Thanks for stopping by . . . till next time . . . Brunie
