Timeless Talk Happy Birthday

Hope your Thanksgiving was great! I love having this long weekend, don’t you? This is the weekend I decorate my house for Christmas and it’s also the weekend I have two very special birthdays to celebrate – my daughter and my son-in-law – just 2 days apart. So in honor of them I’m taking a break from Fall and Christmas cards to wish them a Happy Birthday! (I’ll post their cards after I give it to them)

I like making ‘record albums’ – see this post for another card with an album.  This time I didn’t make grooves on the record and left the ‘label’ without the wording and used the Gorgeous Grunge stamp for the center image. I used the same embossing technique as in the previous post – punched Basic Black card stock with the 1-3/4″ circle punch, inked it with Versa Mark and embossed it with clear embossing powder using the heat tool. I then punched a 3/4″ circle from Soft Sky, Lost Lagoon and Cajun Craze card stock, inked the Gorgeous Grunge image and stamped it with Crumb Cake ink.  I glued the card stock to the center and punched hole in middle with my crop-a-dile.  Quick and easy – you can make tons of records. Hmm… I guess I can use them as frisbees, too – I’ll just omit the small circle in the middle – watch out.
