Today’s card features the Amazing Silhouettes stamp set. It’s a three image set with no sentiments. I received this stamp set at a Stampin’ Up! event in November 2021. It was given to all the demonstrators who attended.
To be honest, when I saw it, I was disappointed. This was not on my wish list at all. Since I got it, I decided to play around with it and see what I could come up with. The first time I stamped it was on my stamp category binder on white cardstock with Pacific Point ink. It was okay, but still not thrilled.
After coloring this card with a similar silhouette background, I decided to color this image as well. Whoa! What a difference it made. The tree just pops right out! Loved how this card came out. Love the blue against the white background and the position of the sentiment.

For a bolder look, I experimented with stamping on a medium color cardstock with a darker ink color. I also tried a tone on tone (ink and cardstock of the same color). They looked good. Unfortunately, I didn’t take pictures of them.
So after playing around with this set, I can’t say it’s my favorite but I like the results I’ve gotten with it.

- Shimmery Cardstock 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″
- Image stamped with Misty Moonlight ink
- Tree trunk was colored with Early Espresso watercolor pencil and branches with Old Olive pencil.
- The sentiment from the now retired Sale-A-Bration Special Moments set was stamped with Memento Black ink.
- Misty Moonlight twine from the Flowers For Every Season ribbon pack
