Celebrate Sunflowers With Different Occasions

I’ve read that sunflowers seem to symbolize various things like unwavering faith, unconditional love, joy, and happiness. In some cultures, it symbolizes longevity. These are all good things. I love having a sunflower bouquet at home when I can find them. It just makes you happy! With the Celebrate Sunflowers bundle, I can have sunflowers anytime I want.

I made this set of sunflowers using the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp and Sunflowers dies for someone who loves sunflowers and will be moving away. I enjoy making black and white cards with pops of colors and this definitely fits that category.

Here’s another card using this bundle.

Card Details

  • Big sunflowers were stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with Mango Melody, So Saffron, Soft Suede, Mossy Meadow, Cinnamon Cider, Bumblebee ink refills and blender pens
  • Sentiments to both cards were heat embossed with white embossing powder; thank you card strip is 2-1/2″ x 1/2″ and the birthday strip 3-3/8″ x 1″
  • Mesh ribbon was added behind the birthday black strip
  • I drew a stem on the sunflower and then stamped the leaves with Mossy Meadow ink
  • Gems were added to both cards
  • Landscape card – Basic White Thick card stock 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4; Basic Black 5-3/8″ x 4-1/8″; white 5-1/4″ x 4″
  • Half of the card stock was embossed with the Hive embossing folder
  • Three smaller sunflowers were stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with So Saffron ink, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede and Cinnamon Cider. They were die cut and mounted onto card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Black & White gingham ribbon was used for two of the cards
  • The sentiments from the set are great but I used sentiments from the Flowing Flowers and Nature’s Harvest sets because I knew the recipient would prefer these type of sentiments.

I’m planning to make a box or a card holder for these cards before I gift them. What do you think of these sunflowers?
