Nothing’s Better Than Artistically Inked & Give It A Whirl

In yesterday’s post, we took a look at the Give It A Whirl Dies. In today’s post we’re using them with the Artistically Inked and Nothing’s Better Than stamps. As I mentioned yesterday, you can use these dies with many of your stamps.

The Nothing’s Better Than stamp is such a fun set to play with. There are so many ways to use it especially when you use the coordinating Love You More Than dies.

I’m not a coffee or cocktail drinker but I do love creating cards with those images.

For this card, I started with one of the set’s sentiment – A Day Without . . . and stamped Coffee in one window and Cocktails in the other. I forgot to photograph the inside, but it says “is like, umm, just kidding. . . I have no idea”.

The background colors on this card make me happy and are two of my favorite colors – love it. The scallop border is from the Penned Flowers dies.

Artistically Inked

Consuming chocolate is definitely one of my favorite things to do as well as eating cookies so I needed another card with the other images from Nothing’s Better Than. On the inside of this card, I stamped another sentiment from the same set “and I’m pretty sure tomorrow will be too”. That is so true – I don’t think there’s a day that I go without eating some kind of chocolate.

I kept the same layout as the first one, but changed the colors and border die cut.

Artistically Inked is definitely my favorite stamp in the 2021-2022 Catalog. From the first time I saw it at one of the Stampin’ Up! events, I knew this was a must have for me! I LOVE the look of alcohol ink and watercolor backgrounds. One of the images from the Artistically Inked stamp is what I used for my background on both cards. I alternated colors. Doesn’t it look like DSP? It’s beautiful – no matter what color you use, you get great results. And have you seen the Expressions in Ink DSP? It’s gorgeous!

Artistically Inked is a 12 piece set composed of 4 sentiments and 8 images – flowers, leaves and the splotch image I used on these cards. If you’re a ranunculus flower fan, you’ll love this set. The set coordinates with the Artistic Dies which comes with 8 dies.

Card Details

To create the background on my first card, I stamped the image with Coastal Cabana and Granny Apple Green ink. I stamped the images and sentiment with VersaMark and heat embossed with gold embossing powder. The cups were stamped with Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral ink. The cocktail glass was stamped with Daffodil Delight and the lime with Granny Apple Green. The umbrella was colored with Calypso Coral, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green stampin’ blends.

The background for the 2nd card was stamped with Pale Papaya and Calypso Coral. The sentiment was stamped with Early Espresso, cookies with Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks. The chocolate was stamped with Early Espresso and Soft Suede inks. I used one of the dies from the Painted Labels dies for the ‘shelf’ to hold my candy & cookies.

For both cards, I used an arrow die cut from the same color of card base.

In my next post, I’ll share another card using the Artistically Inked set. I need to warn you that you’ll probably going to see a lot of cards with this set.

Thanks for stopping by . . . till next time . . .
