In Good Taste, Valentine

The In Good Taste Designer Series Paper is one of my favorite patterned papers and you can use it to make a quick Valentine’s Day Card for that special valentine in your life.

After being sick for almost a month, I didn’t have much energy to make cards (hard to believe, but true). Valentine’s Day is on Sunday and I needed to make my husband’s Valentine’s Day card, and make it quick. So a couple of days ago, I came across a sketch from Mojo Monday for a mini slim card. This one is smaller than the one I made in this post. It was just what I needed to get me going.

Sometimes when you’re in a fog and want to get your mojo going again, sketches are perfect to get you back on track. You don’t have to follow it to the tee but it gives you a place to start.

Card Details

I wanted a heart for my card and the only one I had was from the retired Hearts Collection. I die cut my patterned paper and stamped it with Real Red ink. For my heart red layer, I cut it by hand following the outline from the stamped patterned heart and then distressed the edges. I stamped the small hearts from The Right Triangle stamp set onto another piece of In Good Taste designer paper with Real Red ink. Wrapped the linen thread three times and tied a bow. All layers were mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

This was definitely one of the quickest cards I’ve made and I love it. I think he will, too!

Thanks for stopping by . . . till next time . . .
