Today’s card features the Darling Donkeys from the Sale-A-Bration catalog and the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper.

Let’s get down to the details about this card . . .
First, it’s not your typical A2 size card (4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″) it’s a slim card. Since I wanted all 3 donkey images to have their own space, I created a 9-1/4″ x 4″ card. To get this size, I started out with a 9-1/4″ x 8″ cardstock and scored it at 4″. The card fits perfectly in a business size envelope. An alternate size for a slim card is 8-1/2″ x 3-1/2″ (card base 8-1/2″ x 7″ scored at 3-1/2″) and then you can create an envelope to fit the card. With the amount of space available on this type of card, they’re great for creating scenes.
Since there are no dies available for this stamp, I trimmed the donkeys by hand which was pretty easy to do – aren’t they adorable? I used the solid side versus the white circles on the reverse side of the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper. I used the ovals from the Stitched Shapes Dies for the opening. For the colored background, I used the new amazing Blending Brushes found in the 2021 January-June Catalog. They glide nicely across your cardstock – love them! I popped the front layer and donkeys with Stampin’ Dimensionals to create some depth. What do you think of this slim card – are you ready to try one?
