Painted Poppies – You Make Me Smile

Yes, another Painted Poppies card. I told you I’ve used this set quite a bit. Unlike yesterday’s card, which I colored the poppies with my Stampin’ Blends, on this card I stamped the grunge image over the poppies to give it color. We made this card back in March at one of my classes. It’s actually a one layer card. It looks like 2 layers, doesn’t it? We used the faux layer technique. We placed a scrap paper in the middle and sponged all around it to give it the look of another layer. To finish the card we added linen thread, sequins and a nice happy greeting from the recently retired Colored Seasons stamp set.

Stampin’ Up! Onstage Card

Here’s a card that we made back in November 2019 at Stampin’ Up! Onstage event. Love the simplicity of this card – stamping the poppies and leaves with Memento Black ink on the Poppy Parade cardstock. We used a couple of small pieces of Designer Series Paper (patterned paper) and we also colored the crinkled white ribbon with an Old Olive Stampin’ Blend. Did you know that you can use your Stampin’ Blends to color ribbons as well as paper? Nice, right? I’ll show you in another post how to do it.

Thanks for stopping by . . . have a great weekend . . . till next time . . . Brunie
