Today’s swap card is a thank you card using Touches of Texture as the primary stamp set and One Big Meaning for the greeting. This is one of my favorite cards . . . I love the colors and having all the color focus in the middle with everything else white.
Are you wondering how I got the scallops on each of the sides of the color? I used the largest layering square scallop framelits. After I die cut the scallop framelit, I cut it in 2 pieces and put each piece on the sides of the white cardstock to mask it while I sponged inside of the 2 pieces. By doing this, I got the scallop edge impression and the outer 2 sides remained white. In order to keep your masking paper from slipping, use washi tape or some other temporary adhesive.
I stamped the Touches of Texture border – same one I used in yesterday’s card with Pumpkin Pie ink and stamped 3 flowers on the top with So Saffron ink. Then I stamped the sentiment and flower stem with Archival Black ink. This card has a calming effect – don’t you think? Though the Peekaboo Peach is bright, the Island Indigo tones it down and compliments it well; the Mint Macaron is my transition color.
Come back tomorrow and see the 3rd and last swap I made. Which is your favorite so far? Leave me a comment below – would love to know what you think.
Later on in the week, I’ll show you some of the ones I received.
Don’t forget the Stampin’ Up! promotion going on right now through November 30th – 25% discount on select stamps from the Holiday and Annual Catalogs and being able to purchase the Stitch Shapes Framelits before the 2017-2018 debuts.
