Father’s Day is around the corner, so I thought I would feature some masculine cards starting with yesterday’s blog post. Although this is a birthday card, you can easily switch out the sentiment and make it a Father’s Day card. From Land to Sea is a great masculine stamp set.
Did you know that the Stampin’ Up! catalog is a great place for inspiration? I cased this card from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog and just made a couple of changes. With the exception of the sentiment and washi tape, everything else is the same. I had to look online on how to make a square knot since I never made one before – I think it came out pretty good . . . I’ll keep working on it.
I stamped off the lighthouse with Night of Navy ink and stamped the sentiment from the Watercolor Wishes kit with the same ink. I stamped the wheel with Early Espresso ink and cut it out and adhered it to the base with a dimensional. The twine is the thick Very Vanilla twine and the washi tape is a retired one I had in my stash.
