Wetlands Father’s Day

Happy Father’s Day to all you men out there!

When I saw the new Wetlands stamp set in the catalog I fell in love with it.  Immediately it brought back memories of my Cape Cod vacations and all the masculine cards I can make.

This is the card I’m giving my dad for Father’s Day.  I stamped it and die cut it with my new Circle Framelits Collection on my Big Shot Magnetic Plate – LOVE them!! (More on that next time!)  I wanted to give it some background color so I stamped the Woodgrain Background Stamp with Early Espresso and then sponged with Summer Starfruit, Island Indigo and Early Espresso inks.  I wanted small brads and since I only had the silver mini brads I decided to make my own Early Espresso brads.  So how did I do that?

Cover brad with VersaMark ink, dip brad into embossing powder and emboss with your favorite Embossing Powder color –  that simple!  I’m pleased with the way the card turned out – what do you think of it?  Leave me a comment.
