When I first saw the Painted Poppies stamp set in November 2019 at a Stampin’ Up! event where the 2020 January – June catalog was revealed, I immediately fell in love with it. Not only did I love this stamp but I also got it free at the event! During these events, we stamp and play with new products and this was one of them. When the event was over, each table was allowed to take most of the products home, so everyone at my table took turns taking an item and I took this one!
Although I’ve used this stamp many times, it looks like this is the first time I share it here. I guess that means there will be more Painted Poppies coming your way. I love the colors on this card – I think it shouts HAPPY!
Here are the details . . .
- I stamped all the flowers with VersaMark and heat embossed with white embossing powder.
- I used my aqua painter (now called water painters) for the colorful background wash using Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green inks.
- For the white strip in the middle of the card, I stamped the grunge image with Melon Mambo.
- The sentiment from the Itty Bitty Greetings was stamped with VersaMark and embossed with white embossing powder.
- The flower in the middle was stamped with Memento Black ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. The coordinating dies were used to die cut the flower and leaves.
- Added a few sequins
What do you think of this stamp? Do you like it as much as I do?
Thanks for stopping by . . . till next time . . . Brunie
