2022 July – December Catalog and Sale-A-Bration Round 2 is finally here!
Today’s card features two of the items from the Sale-A-Bration catalog – Hippest Hippos and the coordinating Hippos dies. I love both of these items. They are earned separately which means for every $50 you spend during SAB you choose one of these items. If you spend $100 you can get both.
Aren’t they adorable? The Hippest Hippos stamp comes with the three hippos on my card and 4 sentiments. The Hippos dies come with 19 fun filled dies. I die cut a few of the dies for my card – snorkling gear, umbrella, bucket, splashes, grass, flowers, hearts and hippos. There are many combinations in which you can use all the dies.
Card Details
- Card base – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ Pale Papaya
- White cardstock 5-1/4″ x 4″ die cut with Stitched with Whimsy dies
- Used blending brush to ink background with Pool Party & Pale Papaya inks
- White cardstock for hippos – colored with Stampin’ blends: light & dark Smoky Slate
- Hearts and flowers colored with Pale Papaya ink;
- Umbrella colored with light Pale Papaya blends and dots with dark Pool Party blends
- Tutu colored with dark pale papaya blends
- Hippos tulip with light daffodil delight blends and leaf with dark granny apple green blends
- Used sponge daubers to sponge grass; snorkeling gear – daffodil delight cardstock
- Coastal Cabana bucket; white cardstock for splashes of water
- Dimensionals were used for ballerina hippos, bucket, grass and umbrella
- Wink of stella on tutu and fancy sequins added
With or Without Sequins
Do you like embellishments? When I made this card, I felt it needed something so I added some of the green For Everything Fancy sequins shown on the first card. Which do you prefer? Did I make a good decision?
