My 10 Favorite Crafting Tools I Can’t Do Without

What are your favorite crafting tools? Which are the tools that you reach for almost all the time when you’re working on a project? Today I want to share with you my favorite tools and why I can’t do without them.

Adhesive

Stampin’ Dimensionals – Unless I’m making a one layer card, I almost always use these to create dimension in my projects. I use both the regular size and mini.

Multipurpose Glue – I’ve used many different glues throughout my crafting years, but for the past year or so, I’ve been using this glue a lot. I find that my projects stay glued and don’t fall apart especially when adhering embossed cardstock and 3D projects. The downside to this glue is that sometimes when my fingers come in contact with the glue, they get sticky. However, this is a minor issue compared to the fact that because this glue doesn’t dry instantly, you have time to adjust your cardstock, sequins, etc. if needed.

Glue Dots – These little sticky adhesive dots are perfect for so many things such as adhering embellishments, ribbons, die cuts and vellum.

Cutting & Scoring

Paper Cutter – Imagine crafting without one of these? Imagine if you had to use a ruler, pencil and scissors to measure and cut your paper like back in the day . . . I’m so thankful I don’t have to! Whether it’s my old Stampin’ Up! guillotine cutter or paper trimmer, all my paper is cut with these tools. The trimmer is perfect for cutting diagonally, making slits, etc. Perfect for all those step card folds.

Paper Snips – These very sharp small scissors are perfect for getting into corners and for all your fussy cutting.

Bone Folder – This little tool makes a big difference in the look of your cards and 3D projects. Who doesn’t like a nice, professional looking crisp edge?

Simply Scored Scoring Tool – Although I am able to score my cardstock with the paper trimmer, I use this tool for all my card scoring. It’s also perfect when creating 3D projects.

Die Cutting Machine – I use my die cutting machine all the time – pretty much for all my projects. If an image can be die cut, then I’ll use my machine instead of fussy cutting. Tags, stitched and scalloped dies – who can resist?

Other Tools

Grid Paper – This paper not only protects my surface but because it has a printed ruler, I use it to measure my ribbons. I also use it to align stamps and my paper.

Take Your Pick – The tool with so many uses – all in one. You can see my review here.
