As I mentioned In yesterday’s post, Artistically Inked is my new favorite stamp. Today I’m sharing another card using a few more images from this set.
Card Details
The card base is a 4-1/4″ x 11″ Mint Macaron cardstock scored at 5-1/2″. The Misty Moonlight layer was cut at 4-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ and white cardstock at 4″ x 5-1/4″. I stamped the Artistically Inked splotch image on top and bottom of white cardstock with Misty Moonlight ink. The flowers were stamped with Misty Moonlight and Daffodil Delight and the leaves with Mint Macaron.
I die cut a piece of white cardstock with the Curvy Dies and stamped Happy Birthday with VersaMark and embossed with gold embossing powder. Before adhering to card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals, I die cut a piece of gold foil cardstock to put behind the white one.
The ends of gold shimmer ribbon were adhered to the back and a small piece of ribbon tied to the front of ribbon.
Although this set has coordinating dies, I didn’t have them at the time I made this card so I fussy cut the flower and leaves images. I didn’t buy the bundle because I thought I could do without them. That thought didn’t last long so I decided to purchase them.
To Buy or Not To Buy Coordinating Stamp Dies
Here’s the way I assess if I need to purchase coordinating dies for the stamps I own:
- I don’t mind fussy cutting one or two images, but if I need to cut many of them especially if I’m mass producing, then I’ll get the dies.
- I ask myself if the dies just cut stamp images or if there are other dies that add another dimension to the stamp set.
- If I don’t really like the coordinating dies, I won’t buy them. On the other hand, sometimes I like the dies but not interested in the stamp so I only purchase the dies.
- Can I use the dies by themselves and on projects that don’t require the coordinating stamp .
Speaking of dies, if you like the Curvy Dies they will be discounted half price starting on June 1 when the 2021 January – June catalog last chance promotion begins. You can check out the retiring discounted list by clicking here or on the promotion tab on the right of this post.
Thanks for stopping by . . . till next time . . .
