In yesterday’s post we featured the Beautiful Brushstrokes dies and today we’ll talk about the coordinating Brushed Blooms stamp.
This set includes 13 cling stamps – 5 sentiments and 8 images. One of the things that drew me to this stamp, was this particular greeting. I think it can be used in many crafty ways that would add some humor to your projects.
This is a quick and easy card. Since the greeting was about painting the town, I chose to use more colors than I usually use on one card.
Card Details
The card base is Mango Melody cut at 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″. The white cardstock is cut at 5″ x 3-3/4″. I used all the 2020-2022 In Colors for my brushstrokes and dots – BumbleBee, Misty Moonlight, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade & Magenta Madness. Using the same color for both brushstrokes and dots gives it the tone on tone effect. The rose was stamped with Mango Melody ink and the leaves with Shaded Spruce.
I heat embossed the greeting with white embossing powder onto black cardstock and fussy cut around it. When I went to add the greeting to my card, it didn’t stand out as much as I wanted so I added an extra layer of black cardstock to add some more depth. Both the flower and greeting were mounted with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
So what do you think about the Brushed Blooms stamp? With this stamp and die bundle in your stamp collection, you’ll be able to make simple cards as well as fancy cards.
