Today is my husband’s birthday so in celebration of his special day, I’m focusing on birthday cards. Today’s card features the Flower & Field DSP and the Approaching Perfection stamp – they’re both free items from the Sale-A-Bration catalog.
The Flower & Field DSP is so pretty and make great cards. These two products go so well together that the cards were quick and easy to make. When I made the first card with the gingham ribbon, I liked it so much that I decided to make a second card with the same layout. Instead of the ribbon, I used Bumble Bee cardstock and the pretty bow from the Pierced Blooms Dies. I like all the sentiments from the Approaching Perfection set – they’re great to put on cards for those who are getting up there in years and who are having a milestone birthday. Aren’t these sentiments great?
On the first card the top two squares are from the same paper but on the reverse side. On the 2nd card, the paper on the top right is the reverse side of the paper on the bottom left.
Card Details
- 1st Card Base – Just Jade 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″
- Flower & Field DSP die cut squares with Stitched Shapes Dies
- Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon & Pierced Blooms Dies for the flowers
- 2nd Card Base – Thick White cardstock 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″
- Flower & Field DSP die cut squares with Stitched Shapes Dies
- Bumble Bee cardstock for sentiment 1/2″ x 4″
- Poppy Parade bow die cut from the Pierced Blooms Dies
- Sequins for Everything for the bottom square and the Resin Hearts for the bow
- Mounted the white cardstock with Stampin’ Dimensionals for both cards
