Today we’ll look at another card using the Berry Blessings stamp and Berry Delightful DSP. Wouldn’t it bring a smile to your face if you received a card that said “You always have a way of making my day”? That’s a feel good sentiment, for sure.
In yesterday’s post, we saw how well the blueberries coordinated with the paper and today we’ll focus more on the paper and the other berries.
Once again I added some fine tip glue to the berries. One thing you need to remember is when you add the glue, set it aside where nothing will touch it.
Although this card was intended to be a quick & easy card, it was actually a card of mishaps. When crafting, accidents do happen . . . I placed the card on my table away from everything, but forgot that I had applied glue and placed a plastic wrapped pack of paper right on top of the card. Ugh! I quickly realized what I had done and removed the pack of paper, but it was too late – all the gloss on the berries was gone so I needed to reapply the glue again. Not only did I had to reapply glue, but when I was about to photograph the card, I noticed that one of my strips was not aligned right with the top of the card so I had to remove the strip that was already under the adhered label and realign. Good thing I had my Take Your Pick tool (I’ll talk about that in another post).
Card Details
- Card base – Granny Apple Green – 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Berry Delightful DSP – 4″ x 5-1/4″, and 3 strips of 1″ x 5-1/4″ – 2 of the same and one of the reversed side
- Basic White cardstock for Stitched label die cut (adhered onto card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals)
- Stamped leaves with Mossy Meadow & Garden Green inks
- Stamped berries outline with Blackberry Bliss and Rich Razzleberry for the fill in
- Stamped sentiment with Blackberry Bliss
- Fussy cut leaves and berries and adhered with mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
- Adhered one artistry bloom sequin
- Applied shine to berries with Fine Tip Glue
