By now, many who reserved a Stamparatus back in November and December have received it. If you didn’t reserve one, you’ll be able to purchase one when the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog is live in June. Although it comes with basic instructions, I thought it would be helpful to share some tips and post videos on how to use the Stamparatus.
Here are a couple of features of the Stamparatus:
- measures 8″ x 8″ x 7/8″ and has a 7″ x 7″ stamping surface
- Comes with 2 very strong magnets stored in the back of the platform
- Has a surface grid and ruler for easier alignment
- comes with 2 adjustable and removable hinged plates which also means you have 4 stamping surfaces
- Can be used with photopolymer stamps or clear (red rubber) stamps
- Because it’s open on 2 sides, it gives you the flexibility of using a larger cardstock for scrapbooking or larger card

Stamparatus Tips
- Use foam with photopolymer stamps and remove when using clear red rubber stamps
- One of the things I discovered while inking my stamp is that it’s easier if you put something underneath the plate like a foam pad, clear stamp case or anything that will level the plate.
- Photopolymer stamps are sticky so when lifting plate after you have stamped, it will probably move your cardstock a little. If you’re making multiple cards with the same image, take note if it has moved or it won’t be aligned.
- Try not to stamp images so close to top corners (against hinges) or you won’t get a clear image; position your cardstock down a bit for better stamped image.
- To make it easier in picking up the magnet, I wrapped mine with painter’s tape – enough to create a tab for lifting; you can also use washi tape but I found painter’s tape a little stronger
- If you prefer not stamping directly on your foam pad when using photopolymer stamps, cut a piece of grid paper same size as platform
- When inking your stamp with regular size inkpad, your plate may get inked. Although it won’t necessarily transfer to your cardstock, your hands may get inked and get it on your cardstock; wipe with a cloth. If you prefer, you can purchase uninked ink spots and use whatever ink refill color you like, but I personally don’t think it’s necessary unless you seem to be getting a lot of ink on the plate.
- To clean your stamparatus – use mild cleaner such as mild soap, stamping mist or baby wipes – do not use harsh chemicals such as alcohol or bleach. If removing a lot of ink, it’s easier if you remove plate from hinge and clean.
I hope this answer some of your questions and allows you to have an enjoyable experience using your Stamparatus now or purchasing one in the future.
