Yes, another Father’s Day card…just think masculine card ideas. I was up very late Saturday night trying to make my Father’s Day cards but ran out of time to make all the ones I wanted to make for the special men in my life. I had to keep it simple, if I wanted to make any at all.
The Lovely As A Tree set is great for creating quick cards. This set has been in the catalog for a very long time, way before I joined Stampin’ Up! in 2010. It’s a much loved stamp because there are so many ways to use the images in this set. When I first got this set, it only came in wood-mount but now it’s available in clear-mount for all of you clear-mount lovers.
To create a woodsy feeling, I die cut an adirondack chair from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits using one of the sheets from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack. Of course, you have to have a drink out there, so I stamped one from the Colorful Seasons stamp set and die cut with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits. I did a little sponging, added my sentiment and it was done! I was going to pop my sentiment but forgot that I wanted to do that. That’s ok. Sometimes you just have to step away from your card and let it be.
