I’m a little late with this Father’s Day card but thought I would share it anyway. To replicate, you can just switch the sentiment. The main image on this card is the new background stamp – Wood Rings. Quick and very simple and that’s exactly what I needed to make this weekend. Hope you had a nice day celebrating.
Background Stamps
Have you seen the new background stamps on pages 164 – 165 in the catalog? When I saw them, I knew I wanted the Wood Rings, Sheet Music and Burlap to go on my first order. My next ones to get will be the Marbled and Post Script. I love background stamps because they’re so versatile. You can use them as the focal point as I did on this card. You can use them as a background to your focal point. Ink up only sections of the image you want, or cut out a section and embellish, and any other creative way you can think of.
To ink up this large stamp, you can brayer it or ink it up the usual way. The best way to ink it is by placing your stamp on your table and the ink on top that way you can make sure you have inked your stamp well. After your stamp is inked, place your cardstock on top and place some copy paper over it and just rub the entire stamp or whatever section you want. This will insure that you get a good impression on your cardstock.
