For today’s card I used the Awesomely Artistic and Endless Birthday Wishes stamp sets to create this birthday card.
I used the emboss resist technique to make the flower cluster and dragon fly stand out. In case you’re not sure how to create an emboss resist card, let me explain how I created this card.
Card Details
- Stamped image with VersaMark ink
- Poured white embossing powder over entire image and shook off excess
- Melted powder by using heat tool
- Sponged entire card with Perfect Plum, Wild Wasabi, Rich Razzleberry
- Wiped off card with paper towel to remove excess ink
Once card is wiped off to remove excess ink, the embossed image that resisted the sponged colors will be more vibrant.
To finish the card, I stamped happy birthday with Memento Black ink on a strip of cardstock. I distressed the bottom of the cardstock and placed it at an angle on the card base and snipped the excess cardstock on each side. The last touch was flicking some Elegant Eggplant ink in the sentiment area.
Now that you know how to create an embossed resist card, create your own Awesomely Artistic birthday card.
