Isn’t this dove beautiful embossed in gold? This is one of the cards we did for my Christmas Card class earlier this month. The Dove of Peace stamp comes with the sentiment right below it but I decided that I wanted to separate it from the dove and give the sentiment its own wood block that way I can always use it separate from the dove. There are alternate ways to ink up the sentiment without the dove, but this is a simpler and faster way. I love the glittery portion of this card – I think it makes it so festive. When I see the silver and gold together it reminds me of the song “Silver and Gold” that the snowman sings in the Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer show. Remember that?
So how are you coming along with your Christmas cards? I have not started mine yet, but I do have my sample and that’s always the biggest challenge. Now I need to sit down and make 120 of them! Hoping to start this weekend and finish them by next week along with my swaps for my upcoming Stampin’ Up! event in Baltimore (can’t wait!) – one of the perks of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator!
