How To Assemble Your Holiday Cards

What is the best way to assemble your cards when you have many of the same kind?  Here are some tips.

First thing you do is get all your materials ready:

  • Cut all your card stock to the appropriate sizes
  • Score everything that needs to be scored; fold all score lines
  • Stamp all your images – one at a time
  • If embossing or punching – do them all at the same time
  • Cut any ribbons that need to get cut
  • Gather any embellishments being used
  • Gather your adhesives

When you have all your materials cut, scored, stamped, embossed/punched (if applicable) then begin to assemble your cards in an assembly line fashion.  This process speeds up the time.

The materials for my Step Card Christmas card above was assembled in the following manner:

  • I folded all the score lines on my card base
  • I put dimensionals on all my embossed card stock with the sentiment (Prince of Peace Stamp).
  • On my square card stock pieces, I adhered my family picture
  • I took 10 pieces at a time of each of the card stocks and put adhesive all at once and then adhered them all to the card base; I then repeated the process again in multiples of 10

Hope this helps you with the assembly of your cards.
