Brick Wall Double Dutch Card

When I discovered the brick wall technique a while back, I knew I had to try it.  I loved the look of it.  I also wanted to change the usual fold to a fancier fold so I used the double dutch fold technique.  The top opens upward and it has two small panels at the bottom that open outward.  I love the brick wall technique, and although it does take a little bit of time to complete, the outcome is well worth it!

I stamped my image, cut it into 1/2″ strips and kept them in order. Then I cut them into 1″ pieces and sponged each “brick” to give it depth. I glued the pieces onto my cardstock making sure I matched the image pieces. I added the Victoria Crochet Trim which is one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! ribbons!  It makes everything look so dainty and vintage.
