Many times I’m asked the question what’s the difference between clear mount and wood mount stamps so allow me to share with you the main differences and similarities.
Differences:
- Wood mount stamps are permanently mounted on maple wood blocks
- Clear mount stamps are repositional – it clings and unclings from your acrylic block.
- Wood mount stamps come in a sturdy clear plastic case
- Clear mount stamps come in a dvd type case
- Clear mount takes up less storage than Wood mount
- With Clear mount it’s easier to see where you’re stamping your image
- With Clear mount you can place multiple images on a block
Similarities:
- Stampin’ Up! clear mount and wood mount stamps are both made of the same red rubber and the same thickness foam.
- They both leave a quality crisp image unlike other clear stamps that are made of photopolymer which are prone to tearing, stretching and discoloration.
