Love is Kindness is one of the stamps I fell in love when I saw the Occasions Catalog. The original stamp has a sentiment about love to the left of the image but I decided to remove it before I mounted it to the wood in order to use it for any occasion. For this card, I colored the tulips with Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Blendabilities and stamped the small flowers with Rich Razzleberry ink.
Ever have a stamp that comes with an image you didn’t want to use for your project? Here are a couple of alternatives . . .
- you can ink up the image and wipe off the sentiment OR
- you can carefully cut the sentiment if it is not too close to the image. After you cut the sentiment, mount it on another wood block or convert it to a clear mount stamp by mounting it on a clear-mount cling foam (124236)
By separating the sentiment from the image, you now have 2 separate stamps to use without having to worry about getting some part of the image on your project. So what do you think? Which would you prefer?
