Bloom With Hope Bubble Wrap

Today’s card incorporates the bubble wrap technique with a twist.  I’ve done the bubble wrap technique before where you ink up the bubble wrap you get in your packages with any color you like and stamp onto the card stock–the result looks like this.  Today’s next step, which I got the idea from Dawn Griffith, takes it to another level.  It uses the emboss resist technique and glitter – ooh I love glitter and bling, don’t you?!

Emboss Resist Technique

Perhaps, you may not know what the emboss resist technique is, so let me explain. Stamp your image with VersaMark ink (in this case the bubble wrap is the image), then you add some clear embossing powder to it and melt the powder with the heat tool.  After it’s cool (doesn’t take long at all), you sponge over it with what ever color ink you want.  Wipe off excess with paper towel and that’s it!  You get this beautiful card using one of my favorite hostess stamps – love it!!
