Cards, Everyday Occasions

Hardwood, Mixed Bunch & Flower Shop

Here’s another card using the Hardwood Background stamp that I made for my sister who celebrated her birthday last week. I believe she really liked it! May is a popular month in my family with birthdays, anniversaries, and Mother’s Day – many cards to make!

I stamped the card stock with Crumb Cake ink on a 5-1/2″ x 12″ Very Vanilla card stock and scored at 4″ & 8″. When you cut the card stock on your trimmer, line it up so the tallest side will measure 5-1/2″ and the short side is cut down to 4-1/4″. I stamped the panels on the front and back and then added a Very Vanilla card stock in the middle for my sentiment. The flowers are from the Mixed Bunch stamp set and Flower Shop Stamp set. I sponged all the card edges and flowers with Crumb Cake ink.

Here’s the back of the card.  Each of the flowers were stamped twice and adhered together so when you see the back you can see the flower peeking.  Another option would be is to stamp two flowers and adhere one of the images to the back side of the card.

I also used the retiring Little Leaves Sizzlits for some greenery. Because the flowers are placed higher they exceed the size of a regular envelope so I made an envelope with the Envelope Punch Board to fit this card.  Love that punch board!
