Make Your Own Wedding Favors

I’ve heard that wedding favors is done more in the United States East Coast than in the West Coast.  Is that true? Living in the East Coast, I’ve never been to a wedding that didn’t have favors of some kind.  Wedding favors have gotten more practical.  I remember getting figurines and hard almonds or things that I would never display or use, so we decided not to go that route.  My daughter likes practical things so she and her bridesmaids made Chocolate Covered Pretzels (yummy!) for the guests and I packaged them – all 225 of them!  One of the bridesmaids hand wrote the names and date on the hearts to give it a personal touch.

What did I use? Once again I used Old Olive card stock for the base cut at 4″ x 10-1/2″ and scored at 1-1/2″, 5-1/2″, 6″ & 6-1/2″.  We placed the pretzels in clear treat bags and adhered it to the back of the base.  I adhered a piece of Elegant Eggplant card stock that was embossed with the Fancy Fan folder to the flap and punched 2 holes to thread the hemp twine.  For the stamping, I used the You Are Loved (retired) and Affection Collection (retired) stamps and used the heart punch for the heart.

This a quick treat bag you can make for any occasion.
