Make Your Own Table Seating Chart

As I mentioned in this post, my daughter Melissa was married last Saturday.  Today I want to share with you the seating chart and place cards I made.  The picture below is how they were displayed at the reception venue.

Place cards stamped with the flowers from the Just Believe stamp.

Seating Chart

Because the tables were named after flowers, I needed to make a chart for people to find their seat. Here’s a close up of the chart.

Table Seating Chart for Wedding

We downloaded the venue’s seating chart for the number of people we were having and mapped out how the tables would be set.  First I used Very Vanilla 12″x12″ and stamped it with my much loved and retired Texture Stampin’ Wheel.  I used several punches to make the chart – the 1-3/4″ circle punch, Word Window Punch, Boho Blossoms Punch, small heart punch and the Heart punch.  I also used a retired favorite stamp of mine – Just Believe Stamp for the flowers in the title which also matched the invitations.

For the tables, I used Old Olive, Elegant Eggplant and Daffodil Delight card stock and embossed it with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder to give it some texture. I printed the names on the computer and then punched it with the word window punch.

Names of Tables

I printed the names of the flowers on a 4″ x 6″ Very Vanilla card stock, stamped flowers around them and placed them in an acrylic frame.  Originally I wanted to stamp different kinds of flowers to match the name of the flower at the table, but I didn’t have a stamp for each flower so I made 3 different designs with the flower images I had using the Secret Garden Stamp set, Papillon Potpourri, Just Believe (retired), Best Friends Forever, and Because I Care stamp for the hydrangeas (retired).  Below are 3 table name frame samples – we had  20 tables with these 3 designs.

We had 2 different table centerpieces – one tall with wildflowers, moss and rocks around it and pictures of my daughter and her husband and the other was a vintage watering can with wildflowers and hydrangeas in it and around it.  Our florist did a beautiful job.

Below is how the tables looked.  We loved this place!  Too bad both my children are now married and I don’t have anymore weddings to plan.

In my next post, I’ll show you the favor treat bags I made.

Till next time . . . Brunie
