Cards, Encouragement, Techniques & Tips

Flowers, Flowers, Flowers

I love flowers!  They brighten your room and smell so nice.  Each time you give flowers to someone you can convey a different message such as  . . . Get well soon, I love you, Congratulations, I’m sorry and so many more.  Fresh flowers are great and . . .

Paper Flowers

Did you know you can make flowers out of paper, too?  In last year’s Stampin’ Up! convention, there were tons of flowers made out of cardstock and Designer Series Paper in various exhibits.  It was so creative and beautifully done.  In an earlier post I made a version of gerbera daisies with the retired daisy Big Shot die.  You can see it here.

Designer Series Paper Flowers

Stampin’ Up! has many punches that you can use to make flowers.  The Scallop Circles, the Blossom Punch, the Blossom Petals Builder Punch,  Fancy Flower.  Not only can you make flowers with punches but you can also make some from Big Shot dies.  Here’s a card with flowers I made from the 1-3/4″ scallop circle and the Blossom Punch.

For this card, I used the Faux Mother of Pearl technique and added the flowers.   I think it’s a great wedding card . . . simply change the sentiment or give it to that special someone.  What do you think?  Leave me a comment.
