Are you a super hero fan? Do you love watching all those Marvel movies or other super heroes? I do and so does my family. I believe we’ve seen all or most of the super hero movies so I knew I had to get the Everyday Hero stamp set. I made this card for my son who does indeed love watching super hero movies. I couldn’t think of any masked flying super hero out there so I made him into my own Superman version . . . he just forgot to take off his glasses when he changed into his alternate costume without the ‘S’. He actually reminds me of the Incredibles but that’s not who I wanted him to be for this card.
I went for a happy birthday sentiment from the retired Big Day Sale-A-Bration stamp from a couple of years ago since there wasn’t a birthday sentiment in this set, but you will find many other fun images and sentiments. I also added the Urban Underground Embellishments, which unfortunately is on the retiring list and supply has been depleted. The Everyday Hero is also on the retiring list but it is still available until May 31.
There are only a few days left for the retiring items and I still haven’t shown you some of my projects that include products that will be retiring soon. I may have to do more than one post the next couple of days so be on the look out for that.
2017-2018 Annual Catalog
Here’s some exciting news! On June 1st the new 2017-2018 Annual catalog debuts with some great stamps and products!! I’ve gone through the catalog a couple of times and I’m making my list of items to get. One of the perks of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is that we get to see the new catalogs first and preorder select items before the catalog is live. Want to get your own catalog and see what all the excitement is about? If you’ve ordered from me or have attended my classes this past year, I’ll be happy to give you one.
Personal Note
If you’re one of my regular readers, I apologize for the absence. It’s been hard getting back on track after my mom’s passing in addition to all the family events that have occurred since then, thankfully they were happy events, like my Dad’s 80th birthday celebration, my daughter-in-law’s baby shower, and my 2 month old grandson’s dedication and celebration. Although sad not to have my mom present in these type of celebrations that she loved being part of, I am thankful for these wonderful blessings God has allowed in my life at this time.
As we think of what Memorial Day means today, I want to say to all those super heroes who bravely and sacrificially gave their lives to protect our country, THANK YOU!! Words are hard to find to express my gratitude for your courage.
Thanks for stopping by . . . till next time . . . Brunie
When ordering, please use host code 6VZGGPTK through June 28.
