Today’s 5″ x 5″ card was made with a mix of retired and retiring products, but I wanted to share it with you before the 2022 January – June catalog ends today. Most of the work on this card was done with the New Horizon 6″ x 6″ DSP (no longer available). The DSP had some wonderful designs that anything you added to it would make a great card.
I needed to make a card for someone special who was retiring and I thought this suite was perfect. I started out with the New Horizon DSP. Using the On the Horizon stamp, the trees in the background were stamped and so was the grass in back of the gate. I placed the gate where there seemed to be a path so it would signify new beginnings. Can you see that?
Card Details
- Card base – Thick White 10″ x 5″ scored at 5″
- Layer – Night of Navy 4-7/8″ x 4-7/8″
- DSP – 4-3/4″ x 4-3/4″
- Grass & trees stamped with Mossy Meadow ink
- Birds stamped with Early Espresso ink
- Sentiment stamped with Memento Black ink (retired stamp – Let Your Hair Down)
- Gate & grass die cut with Horizon dies
- Pebbles enamels shapes completed the card
The On the Horizon bundle is still available and so are the pebbles, but today is the last day to order them. Although the paper is no longer available, you can make some great cards with this bundle.
