Today is a special day because it’s my grandson’s birthday! Oh how I love these little ones who bring me much happiness.
It’s also time for some green . . . Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
In yesterday’s post I shared this card that I made with the Amazing Silhouettes where I colored the image. In today’s card I used another image in the set a different way.
By stamping the leaf silhouette image about 9 – 10 times, I created a background. The image was stamped with the Just Jade ink onto Mint Macaron cardstock.
The cardstock was then adhered to the Mint Macaron card base.
With this type of background you don’t need much to complete the card. I stamped a sentiment from the Plentiful Plants stamp set onto a label cut from the Tasteful Labels dies and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The Pool Party sheer ribbon was used to make a fancy bow and adhered with a glue dot. Two blue adhesive-backed gems were added to the card.
Card Measurements & Retiring In Colors
- Card Base – Mint Macaron 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Mint Macaron 3-3/4″ x 5″ for stamping background
Just Jade is one of the 2020-2022 In Colors that is retiring in May. If you like this color and already have the ink pad but not the refill ink then I recommend you consider getting it now. This way you have it before supplies have been depleted and you’ll be able to use it after it retires.
