In yesterday’s post, I mentioned how I love bold fonts. Today’s card features the Sunshine & Rainbows DSP from the Sale-A-Bration catalog with a bold sentiment as the focal point. The sentiment is from the Sunny Sentiments set found in the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.
The 6″ x 6″ Sunshine & Rainbows Designer Series Paper has fun and bright colors. The patterned paper coordinates great with the Rainbow of Happiness stamp from the 2022 January – June catalog and Sharing Sunshine stamp from 2021-2022 Annual Catalog.
Patterned paper can be used in many different ways on your cards:
- Use as a background
- Cut in strips, squares, diagonally
- Use it for paper piecing on objects, people’s outfits, etc. Instead of coloring, stamp the image on the patterned paper and give your subject a different look
- Die cut or punch shapes or flowers from the DSP
- Create a quilt look
Card Details
- Thick White cardstock for card base 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Both sides of one sheet was used and cut at 2″ x 5-1/4″
- Sentiment was stamped with Memento Black ink on white cardstock then die cut with the circle die from the Painted Labels dies
- Circle was popped with Stampin’ Dimensionals and two In Color jewels were added
How do you use your patterned paper? Do you use it a lot or not often? If you don’t use it often, I challenge you to get your patterned paper out and try using it in different ways. You might be surprised at how many different ways you can use it and as a result use it more.
