It’s time for an Easter card and the Springtime Joy set is a such a cute set to make one with. I love the greeting on this card – the adorable lamb and this greeting is what caught my attention when I saw this set.
The Springtime Joy stamp is found in the 2021 January – June catalog and has 10 cling stamps – 3 greetings and 7 images. There is no die or punch for this set so I fussy cut the lamb. The background on this card is from the Stitched Lace Die.
Did you know that sometimes you can use both sides of an embossed folder? I was planning to use the embossed (raised) section of the Ornate Floral 3D embossing folder but after I sponged some ink, I didn’t like the way it turned out so I turned it over and used the debossed section.
Did you notice the coloring of the lamb? I could’ve left the lamb’s body as is–without coloring, but I think the shading gives it dimension. I added the rosy cheeks just to give her an angelic look.
Card Details
- Card base – Gorgeous Grape 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″
- Stitched Lace die was cut out of white cardstock for the card layer at 5″ x 3-3/4″.
- The greeting was stamped with Gorgeous Grape ink onto the label die from the Pierced Blooms dies.
- I made a bow with the Gorgeous Grape 3/8″ sheer ribbon and adhered it to label die cut with a glue dot.
- An 1/2″ x 3-3/4″ strip of Gorgeous Grape cardstock was adhered behind label.
- Circle was embossed and inked with the Blending Brushes using Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape and Daffodil Delight inks.
- The lamb was outlined with the Light Smoky Slate stampin’ blends and cheeks with Flirty Flamingo stampin’ blends.
- Flowers and leaves were colored with Granny Apple Green, Melon Mambo, Gorgeous Grape and Daffodil Delight inks using blender pens and added wink of stella to the flowers.
- The lamb and greeting label were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals
