Today’s featured stamp set is Bike Ride and the Build a Bike Framelits Dies. I must admit I didn’t play around with this set as much as I would’ve liked to. Not because I didn’t want to, but because I needed to use other sets for specific projects and didn’t get a chance. But every time I pick this set to create with, I so enjoy playing with it. You don’t have to focus on just the bike, there’s much you can do with this stamp set with the other images. Besides the bike, the set has images of books, (graduation, school), apples (teacher cards, anybody?), baskets, flowers, and dog. I’ve only used the bike as the focus, but I’m looking forward to making more cards using the other images.
I used 4 different stamp sets for this card – Bike Ride for the focal point, Crackle Paint for the background, Enjoy Life for the grass – (love this grass – use it all the time!) The sentiment is from Birthday Blooms – a retired set.
The flowers were colored with the light and dark mango melody and light Granny Apple Green stampin’ blends; the rear basket was inked with Granite Gray; the grass with Granny Apple Green and then sponged with the same color. The crackle paint was inked with Smoky Slate. Can you guess the bike color? Thinking of Balmy Blue or one of our other blues? Nope – it’s Seaside Spray – one of the new In-Colors for 2019-2021.
