The Occasions catalog has some great products, but let’s not forget the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog does, too. So for today’s card let’s look at a card using Jar of Love and Touches of Texture – both sets from the Annual Catalog. I made this card back in November 2016 but hadn’t posted it yet. All the products that I used are still current with the exception of the sentiment which was from the Watercolor Wishes Card Kit and the Mossy Meadow ink that I used for the leaves, but you can easily interchange those two things with something you have already own.
The border was made with one of the images from the Touches of Texture stamped on all sides of the card. I like using stamps that give your card instant texture and this is definitely one of those stamps. The smaller jar from the Everyday jar framelits was used for this card stamped on Sahara Sand cardstock with the ribbon stamped with Blushing Bride ink. I’m not sure if you can see the Wink of Stella used on the Blushing Bride flowers, but it’s there and gives it a nice subtle shine.
Although some stamps are specifically made for background and texture, did you know you could use any stamp to create your own background? Simply stamp whatever image or sentiment you want repeatedly and create your own unique background or patterned paper. If you’re stamping floral images, then simply add a sentiment. Try using your stamps in different ways and you’ll be surprised at what you can create.
