As I mentioned in an earlier post, the Weather Together and Umbrella Weather Framelits is one of my favorites. Before I started to create this card, I was envisioning one of the impressionistic paintings about Paris and the umbrellas in the park and so I wanted lots of color for my card.
Card Details
Here are the details . . . I started out with watercolor paper and saturated it with my Aqua Painter. Then I brushed Island Indigo ink for the backgound. I used the tree leaves image from Sheltering Tree (another favorite of mine) to create the colorful leaves. After I stamped all the colors, I brushed the Aqua Painter all over the colors to cause the ink to bleed to create the watercolor look. I stamped ‘love’ with Archival Black ink. I die cut 2 umbrellas – one with Island Indigo cardstock and the other with Mint Macaron cardstock. I stamped flowers from this set with Mint Macaron onto Mint Macaron cardstock. For the finishing touch, I added 3 gold metallic enamel shapes. I popped the umbrellas with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Did you notice the details on the bottom of the umbrellas? It’s part of the Weather Framelits – love it!
