The Quinceanera stamp set is from the Stampin’ Up! Spanish catalog, Celebrando Creatividad. In the Hispanic culture, Quinceanera (15 years old) is the equivalent of a Sweet 16 in the American culture. This set has been around a bit, but at the end of May the entire line of Celebrando Creatividad will be discontinued. Stampin’ Up! will no longer publish Celebrando Creatividad and Spanish stamp sets. If you’re interested in owning any of the spanish sets, they are on the retired list. You can also see the catalog here.
For this card, I stamped the flowers from the Painted Petals stamp set for the background. Since I made this card back in February when we were still carrying Blendabilities, I colored the image with the Pink Pirouette and Rich Razzleberry blendabilities. I added Crystal Effects to the girl’s flowers, and of course, added some silver glimmer paper for the bling. I could see adding this image without the “Quinceanera” to a scrapbook page for a prom. Don’t you?
