This clean and simple card using the Lotus Blossom stamp was a card we made at my last card class.
The Lotus Blossom is a three step stamp. Each of the 3 stamps that creates the beautiful flower has a tab with the numbers 1, 2, 3 indicating which image you stamp first. For proper placement, stamp each image with the tab pointing in the same direction.
For this card, I used Marina Mist and Soft Sky inks. I stamped the image with the ‘1’ in Soft Sky ink, then stamped image ‘2’ with Marina Mist ink – making sure to stamp off first. For the image with the ‘3’, I stamped off again and inked it with Soft Sky. In case you’re wondering what I mean by ‘stamping off’, let me explain . . . When you ‘stamp off’, you ink your image then stamp it on scrap paper and stamp it again on your project making sure not to reink your stamp. This gives it a lighter look.
