I love everything about this card – the Blended Bloom flower colored with the Coastal Cabana Blendabilities and the great backdrop created with one of the images from the Chalk Lines photopolymer stamp. After I colored the flower I cut around it and popped it with Stampin’ Dimensionals – love it. However, I don’t know about you, but although I like the look of images cut out and popped, I don’t like cutting them. I wish there was a framelit for every image I stamp!
The Blendabilities (Stampin’ Up!’s new product) are alcohol markers and come 3 to a pack – light, medium and dark of the same color with 12 different colors and a skin tone assortment pack to choose from. One thing to remember when using Blendabilities is that you will need to use the Memento Black ink and not your Stazon ink because it will bleed when you pick up the color. Here’s the difference between the two:
Stazon Ink vs. Memento Ink
Stazon Ink:
- solvent, alcohol based
- waterproof
- use it for water coloring
- clean stamps with Staz-On Cleaner
Memento Ink:
- Dye & Water Based
- Not be used for watercoloring
- Use with Blendabilities
- Clean with Stampin’ Mist Cleaner
Here’s a video on how to color with Blendabilities.
Till next time . . . enjoy creating! – Brunie
